When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Hello,
This piece of work has been featured in my news report [link] Have a nice day! Daniele -- Daniele Delgrosso Macro Photography Gallery Moderator deviantART Inc. Email: dandelgrosso@volunteers.deviantart.com Lovely DOF and colors.
I don't particularly like the composition. It's not exactly centered, not exactly rule of thirds. I think this shot may have done better well with a square crop and a diagonal or rule of thirds composition though it's hard to say. More experimentation with various crops and rotations would be necessary to be certain. At the current angle, the shot is a bit cluttered. Eventhough the shallow depth of field helps separate the one flower in focus from the rest of the flowers, the yellows still do blend together. Try adjusting your angle next time such that the flower in focus appears against the blue background. One thing to try is to place your camera on the ground and tilt it upward to capture the yellow flower against a blue sky. I think the black border though it appears to be blending into the blues. I'm not sure if this is just a problem from resizing and compression though. Hope this helps somewhat -- Jean Fan (roseonthegrey) | Conceptual Photography
