My first try at DeviantART stamps. I don't remember exactly where I first heard the quote; somewhere on LiveJournal.

Thanks to another Deviant, I was able to find the source: Straight Not Narrow. As it turns out, I remembered the quote incorrectly. (It should be "Straight, not narrow" rather than "Straight, but not narrow.") Despite this, I hope the stamp's underlying message remains clear.

cuteness! i love it! its not fair that hetero people can't take a stand in gay rights too! so someone has to bridge the gap... let it be us! :D

And that is right. It bothers me that it seems like the only people that can be for gay rights are people that are bisexual or homosexual. It's like if you are heterosexual, you can't believe in it. It's a bit like saying if you're male, you can't believe in equal rights for women. It's just unfair.

Yes, definitely. I'm as straight as they come, really, but man, the looks I get for claiming it while saying I support gay people is so stupid. It's like some kind of double standard, and it ticks me off. Love this stamp. :heart:

I am bisexual, so seeing something like this really beneficial to the LGBT community in knowing that we are not alone.

Exactly! I hate when people assume I'm homosexual or bisexual just because I think they should have the same rights. I'm completely straight, but that doesn't mean I should kick someone in the mouth (or any other place) just because they're different. Sometimes I don't understand things (ex: BDSM), but I definitely don't say, "Hey, you're a loser for that!" and tell them to die and they shouldn't have the same rights (I even have a friend or two...). Seriously, people, stop holding us back; we could be so much more!
